Job Responsibilities:
Write engaging and informative content as well as refresh existing content that effectively conveys our client’s message and aligns with target audience’s interests.
Research trends, brainstorm, and look up digital content inspiration ideas to pitch to client.
Develop creative and engaging headlines, subheadings, for enhanced click-through rates on search results.
Integrate best practices for search engine optimization into your writing to drive visibility and engage readers.
Collaborate with the art, editorial, and digital teams to align content with the overall content strategy, business objectives, and proper website structure and formatting.
Attend progress meetings to help brainstorm ideas and report on work progress.
Monitor and analyze content performance using tools such as Google Analytics to make data-driven decisions for content optimization and prioritization.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in content marketing, search engine optimization, and education to ensure content remains relevant and engaging.
Proofread and edit content to maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and readability.
Adhere to content guidelines, style guides, and editorial calendars to ensure timely delivery of content.
Perform in-depth keyword research to identify relevant and high-ranking search terms. Seamlessly integrating target keywords within the content to maximize search visibility while maintaining flow and readability.
Optimize existing content by updating, expanding, and improving its relevance to target keywords.
Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and engagement using tools such as Google Analytics.
Provide regular reports on keyword performance content optimizations and opportunities for improvement to the leadership team.
Work in a collaborative manner to meet client deadlines and efficiently manage workflow.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or similar field (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience: Minimum 2 years similar professional experience as an SEO Writer or similar role, preferably in a multimedia, publishing, or digital agency environment.
An online writing portfolio demonstrating exemplary writing and content creation skills.
Experience writing and optimizing lifestyle, health, food, and cooking content.
Solid understanding of SEO principles, practices, and strategies.
Proficiency in performing keyword research and analysis using SEO tools to identify valuable target keywords.
Knowledge of on-page optimization techniques, including URL structure, headers, meta tags and image optimization.
Proficiency in analyzing website performance using SEO tools and platforms.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to measure and analyze content performance, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Strong attention to detail and able to produce well researched and error free content.
Exceptional command over grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Excellent copywriting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Highly motivated with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and desire to work on a collaborative team with high standards
Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills; able to balance multiple priorities and demands simultaneously
Maintains a positive attitude, even while working under pressure in an environment where job demands are constantly changing
